watercolor
a drop of paint
in a sea,
mystifying and elusive,
dancing and swirling,
with no pattern or rhyme.
vibrant,
until engulfed
by the sea;
it pulls and drags it down.
the color stretches,
trying to grasp
that which doesn’t exist,
the edges
of the sea,
until it’s swallowed,
and the color
can no longer reach.
